If your padlock battery is depleated, you can connect an external power source to the micro USB port on the side of the padlock to power it. The black silicon protective sleeve of the padlock needs to be removed to access the USB port at the side of the padlock, as shown in the figure below.
The external charger can be a USB cable connected to a laptop, a wall adapter, a portable charger or even a tablet. Once the padlock is powered via USB, only an authorized Teleporte user with an assigned digital key can proceed to open it with the mobile application.
The battery of the padlock is replaceable but not rechargeable. The external charger can enable users to open the padlock as a backup, until the battery is replaced as shown in this page
