# Why is the padlock LED pink or purple?

 

Although it may be unexpected, the LED coming on periodically is entirely normal and not a cause for concern.

A pink or purple LED indicates that the padlock is in maintenance mode to keep the battery and other components healthy over the long term. This maintenance mode can be interrupted at any time by pressing the button.
